About Me
- Dollar Kidd
- about my book OUT OF MY MIND a poetic autobiography This unique collection of poetry, complemented with feedback and comments from readers and the author, intimately explores the author’s life and experiences. Using poetry to express life’s trials and triumphs, author Dollar Kidd offers a collection of poetry with a unique approach in Out of My Mind. The work intimately explores Kidd’s life and experiences, while the comments following each selection from both Kidd and his online readers, provide additional background from which to understand and appreciate each poem. In “Winter Night,” he writes, / As I turn into my drive / I see a woman standing aside / She stands with her arms at her side / Dressed in solid black / Low cut neck, in a V to her breasts / Sleeves cover her hands / But split up past the wrists / Her long dark hair covers her shoulders / … Often infused with raw emotion, the poems in Out of My Mind not only share Kidd’s inner thoughts and ideas, but also demonstrate that positive outcomes can emerge from negative situations
